Obama Chooses Nobel Prize Winner For Cabinet Position
President-Elect Barack Obama has selected Nobel Prize winner Steven Chu to be his Energy Secretary. Chu brings an excellent scientific mind to the position, but critics believe that he does not have enough political experience for such a position. Since 2004, Chu has led the Lawrency Berkeley National Laboratory where he has focused on alternative energy technology while managing a budget of $650 million. Hopefully Chu will be able to make a successful transition from the academic world to the political world.
