Chevrolet Volt Wins Motor Trend's "Car of the Year" Award
Despite not being commercially available yet, Motor Trend Magazine has named the Chevrolet Volt its "Car of the Year". The General Motors plug-in hybrid can go 40 miles on battery power before the gas engine engages. While powering the car, the gas engine also charges the battery. During the magazine's testing, the Volt got 72.9 miles per gallon.
