Massachusetts Governor Sets Wind Energy Goal

01/15/2009

Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick has released a plan to increase the state's use of wind energy with a goal to produce 2,000 megawatts of electricity per year by the year 2020. Not only would this plan decrease the state's dependence on fossil fuels, but it will also help to create jobs in the state. Massachusetts is now setting it's sights on wind energy after already committing to produce 250 megawatts of electricity from solar power by the year 2017.
