This year's Los Angeles Auto Show took on a different tone with American car makers GM and Chrysler keeping things subdued and avoiding the traditional glitz and glamour. On a positive note was that there were over 40 alternative fuel vehicles on display which is more than years past. All different types of alternative fuel power were on display such as all electric, gas-electric, clean burning diesel, ethanol and fuel cell. There was a lot of excitement and interest surrounding the Chevy Volt, Mini Cooper E and the Volkswagen Jetta TDI.
